Reinhold Haart produces exclusively Riesling wines from his top sites in Piesport and Wintrich and is strongly focused on the concept of terroir. His wines always have an elegant bouquet as well as a complex palate and are always clear products of the red slate soils of Piesport. Haart uses only natural yeast in order to support the typical style of his wines. His fine tart wine "Haart to Heart" was just awarded with "Classic Gold" at the "Wine Style Asia Award 2007". Reinhold Haart is a member of the VDP (Association of German predicate wine makers).
Vineyard area: 7.0 hectares. Annual production: 50,000 bottles. Top sites: Piesporter Goldtroepfchen, Wintricher Ohligsberg. Soil types: Decomposed Kaolin-slate. Grape varieties: 100 % Riesling. Average yield: 60 hl/ha.
